■ Singapore Games Creation Competition (SGCC) gives secondary school students an opportunity to learn about digital media development and games creation. It challenges them to create their very own games. ■ SGCC consists of 2 stages - Qualifiers and Finals.
■ Provide an environment for school students to learn games creation through workshops on games development and digital creation tools.
■ Give the participants an overview of the digital media industry.
■ Give aspiring game developers an opportunity to share and showcase their games.
■ Participating teams attends opening ceremony to be informed of the competition theme.
■ Submit a single-level game prototype which can be deployed on SGCC website within several weeks.
■*FREE* training on game programming, game art and game design are provided in March 2017.
■ After the panel of judges has selected the top teams to qualify for the Finals, these teams will be invited to take part in the Finals. They will be invited to attend a debriefing session with our SIDM lecturers to discuss about improving their games.
■ The Finalist teams will need to upload their games to SGCC server via their team account before Presentation Day.
■ On Presentation Day, they have several minutes to present their game to the judges and go through a Q&A session.
■ Teams are encouraged to submit games on Google Play! store to win extra prizes!
